A variety of free programs for the parents of peri-natal, infants and toddlers. Programs are offered six days a week during mornings, afternoons and some evenings.

Family Place is a resource and drop-in program centrally located in Ganges Salt Spring Island, offering a safe and well-equipped indoor and outdoor play area, a variety of drop-in and scheduled programs and courses and a range of resources for parents and caregivers of children under six.

The center provides resources, information, and parent education opportunities to support healthy and happy families. The facility offers a comfortable playroom, internet, library, family food bank pick-up, sitting area, kitchen, laundry machines, counselling offices, toy library, coats or kids, and clothing exchange. The program welcomes all parents and caregivers of children aged 0 – 6 to enjoy the warm space and community resources at Family Place.

Programs Includes:
Stay & Play Drop-In:A parent-child drop-in program for families with children ages 0 – 6.

Parent-Child Mother Goose: For parents and their babies and young children to focus on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together.

Dad ‘n’ Me Pancake Breakfast: For dads to enjoy a free pancake breakfast and playtime with their kids.

Putting Kids First; Co-parenting Through Separation and Divorce: A program that supports parents through the process of separation/divorce to develop a respectful, collaborative co-parenting relationship.

Triple P (Positive Parenting Program): An 8-week program introducing skills to approach parenting in a positive way that is preventive rather than reactive.

Peri-natal Education Class: A 6 part series of relaxed, fun and interactive classes to support new parents on their journey through pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood.

Family Fitness: A family-friendly workout where parents and children get to jump around together, get some exercise and have some fun!
